How to use reminders & recurring tasks in Locodo

Beginner · 4 min read

The whole point of a to-do app is that things don't slip. Locodo gives you reminders that reliably fire and flexible repeats for anything that happens more than once. Here's how to set them up.

Set a reminder

Open a task and tap Add reminder. Pick a date and time, and Locodo schedules a local notification on your device. You can also let natural language do it — type “Dentist Friday at 3pm” when creating the task and the reminder is set automatically.

Urgent reminders that break through

For things you truly can't miss, turn on Urgent when a reminder is set. Urgent reminders use a time-sensitive alert that cuts through Focus and Do Not Disturb, so a silenced phone won't swallow your most important nudge.

💡 Locodo also watches your permissions. If iOS quietly turns off notifications (it happens after some updates), a banner appears on your task list prompting you to switch them back on — so your reminders never silently stop working.

Create a recurring task

Open a task, tap Repeat, and choose how often it should come back:

When you complete a recurring task, Locodo automatically creates the next occurrence with the right date — you never re-enter it.

“Remind me here” (location reminders)

Some things are about place, not time. Set a location reminder on a task and Locodo will nudge you when you arrive at or leave a spot — “buy milk when I leave work”. It's handled entirely on your device with no location tracking or history.
