Privacy Policy
In short: Locodo is a private, offline to-do app. Your tasks, lists and notes live only on your device. We don't run servers that store your content, we don't require an account, and we never sell your data.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Locodo ("Locodo", "we", "us") approaches your privacy when you use the Locodo app (the "App"). We built Locodo on a simple principle: your to-do list is yours. This policy describes, in plain language, what that means in practice.
2. Information we collect
The content you create — tasks, lists, notes, due dates, reminders, tags, priorities and settings — is generated and stored locally on your device. It is not sent to us. We operate no accounts and no cloud that holds your task content, so we have no database of users and no way to identify you from your tasks.
3. How your data is stored
Your data is stored in files within the App's private storage on your device, in a human-readable format that also powers your backups. If you delete the App, this data is removed from your device with it.
4. Device permissions
Locodo only requests a permission when you use the feature that needs it. Each is processed on your device:

| Location | Only if you set a "remind me here" reminder. Your device monitors the places you choose (geofencing) and alerts you on arrival/departure. Coordinates are never uploaded; there is no location tracking or history. |
| Calendar | Only if you view your calendar next to your tasks or add a task as a time block. Read on-device via Apple's Calendar framework; never transmitted. |
| Microphone & Speech | Only when you tap the mic to dictate a task or note. Transcription uses the device's speech engine; no audio is recorded or uploaded. |
| Face ID / Touch ID | Only if you enable App Lock. Handled by iOS; Locodo never accesses your biometric data. |
| Siri & Shortcuts | Optional voice add/complete/focus. Handled by iOS; task text is saved locally. |
You can review or revoke any permission anytime in the iOS Settings app.
5. Backups & exports
When you export or back up your tasks (JSON, Markdown, CSV, PDF), the file is created on your device and shared only to the destination you choose (Files, AirDrop, another app). Optional encrypted backups are protected with a password you set, which is never transmitted to us.
6. Pricing
Locodo is free, with no in-app purchases or subscription. We never collect or store payment information.
7. Third-party services
The App is built with Apple frameworks and trusted open-source libraries that run on your device. The only third party involved is Apple (the App Store), and only if that is relevant to your use. If we introduce optional advertising in the future, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details before doing so.
8. Security
Keeping your content on-device is itself a strong posture: there is no central server to breach and no account to compromise. Your information benefits from your device's security and iOS, plus Locodo's optional Face ID / Touch ID App Lock.
9. Your rights & control
Because your data lives on your device, you have direct control at all times. You can access and export everything as a file, edit or delete any item instantly, and erase all data by deleting the App. Rights under laws such as GDPR and CCPA are satisfied directly by you, on your device.
10. Children's privacy
Locodo contains no social features and is safe for users of all ages.
11. International users
Because your content never leaves your device, there is no cross-border transfer of your personal information by us.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements; when we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above.
